Capital One Auto Increase?

I just opened a 2nd capital one credit card last month and I combined that card this week. Today I received a letter in the mail saying "Ready to increate your credit line to $750?"

It's easy -- you are just 3 steps away.

Dear EddyMVP,

As a Capital One Preffered cardholder, you habe the opportunity to increase your credit line to $750 with Capital One credit steps. Its an automatic service for new customers. And it's an easy way to get more bguying power. Simply follow these three steps:

1. Use your card in the first 90 days.

2. Don't go over your credit line.

3. Make your first 3 monthly payment on time.

That's it. Just complete these three steps, and you will automatically gtet your credit line increase by your 5th statement. etc...

My question is would I still receive the increase sinec I combined this card and i'm keeping my balance under 8%?

I hope you get it. I got the same letter 3 months ago re: an automatic $250 CLI to $750. Well, early last month I called whnt C1 was giving out CLIs as a part of some promotion that I did not even get an invite to. They gave me a $500.00 and are now saying that because they did that, I am no longer eligible to receive my auto CLI per the letter I had gotten 3 months ago.

They might have canceled it and will issue a new account altogether.. .. although.. they usually just keep the one open. Twice this year, I combined HSBC cards... and each time.. they sent me a new card, which I found to be odd since none of the information on the cards have changed. I litterly have 3 cards for one account! But the practice might be different for C1. Give them a call and find out what the deal is.
