TJxx Rewards and Old Navy cards.

Does it make more sense to have store cards or have the Visa/Mastercard versions of them? Mine are the store cards, but my mom has the MC version of the TJxx card and she has an Old Navy card but her limit on hers is higher than mine. And how long does it take for them to upgrade?

To me it's always better to have the Visa/Mastercard versions. That way you can use them anywhere

I think that too but I don't think they'd allow me to upgrade just yet. 3 new accounts within the last month. I just think it would be cool to have the upgraded versions of those cards. I've gotten increases on both of them.

Both the accounts are both 6 or 7 months old, but to be less crazy maybe I should wait another 6 months.

This is the one thing that GE has not let the "Credit Solutions" folks have the power to do yet so you still have to just sit and wait for some computer god to give you the offer upon signing into your account online!

Thats lame! I looked in my TJxx account and they have "special offers" but none for me pfft.

I have the TJX store card since June 2013 and received a CLI after 3months (to current limit) and last month i logged online and there was a pop-up offer for me to upgrade to the MC version. I declined the offer, but i would say around your 6month mark you should receive the offer.

Why would you decline? It almost always gets cli too and since your account was so young you would have avoided the worst part of upgrading he accounts is the reduced aa

I just don't see the benefits of the credit card version as i have other CCs to fulfill my spending anyways. Plus I like to have variety of cards on my Credit profile: installments, credit cards, and charge(or store) cards.

I don't think requesting an increase would make a difference, would it? And this person says they got a pop up thing about upgrading? I've had the TJXX card since July and the Old Navy one since August, haven't seen pop ups.

Yes, this person is me. And yes, i got a pop up when i logged on for the upgrade and while i declined the offer, it's still there on the "offer" tab on the top of my account page.

Don't have the "offer" tab or the offer to upgrade? If you really want to upgrade, give them a call and talk to an analyst. I wouldn't know if it'll be a HP or SP, but worth a try if you call and find out. Also, have you tried the luv button on your account page? Since my auto luv back in November, i've been hitting it just about every month but no luck...i guess i need to wait 6months after my first CLI.

Can't do increase online with Old Navy and TJXX raised my limit to $1,300
