BoA CLI question

I just pressed the loved button on my BoA luv button and requested my CL be $35K (its currently 20K) For the first time I didn't get an instant approval but got a 7-10 message. I have read some people get 'please call for instant decision' but does a 7-10 day message mean I got declined? not even a counter? I have never seen this message before when I clicked the luv button as they have always approved. My TU report is my best one.

The exact message read:

Thank you for submitting your request.

Your business is appreciated and careful consideration is being given to your request. You will receive a written response within the next 7 to 10 business days. Thank you for choosing Bank of America. Please note: Any changes made to your address have not been applied to your Online Banking profile.

you can either check back maybe tomorrow or monday or you can call and go through review right now with underwriter if you call backdoor number... just means person is going to review instead of computer... most common with BofA I think plus now that you are up in that credit line range, not to common for banks to let computers alone decide that high

Yes Im thinking (and hoping) its becasue my CL is already high and an analyst needs to review. It never asked me to call in just that I'd get a letter in 7-10 days. I will log in each day to see if there is any change. I have a zero balacne and also have another BoA card with a 15k limit with zero balance. Always pif, close to 800 Fico no baddies and 4% utl overall.

I just did the same today and got the 7-10 day message. Logged into my account and refreshed it about 10 minutes later, and my CLI was approved and avaialble to me.

Nothing yet Now it looks like I'll be spending my weekend constantly logging into my account to see if I got it

I asked a analyst, he said that anything over 25K will need to be approved by them anually.

So, you basically has 2 options

1) Wait for their reply, which may/may not be favourable.

2) (recommended) Call them up and they will ask questions, like why you need CLI, for what you use this card most for blah.. then they will approve or counter with some thing they can give as of now. Good luck for you.

Can you tell me what's your AoA and oldest tradeline ? Just curious on your score of 800

All of my BoA CLI have taken a day or so, just check your account tomorrow and it might be there. Otherwise call one of their analysts Monday. Goodluck!!

When you get the 7-10 day message do they at least counter if they can't approve the full amount? I aimed high at 35k because i was expecting a counter.

Still no change this morning. I went to live chat and they said no decision has been made and that the credit analysts don't work on weekends. So I will wait until next week to see what happens!😁

My increase just took 5 days. The chat/phone reps are of no help. Either call the backdoor number yourself or wait but I got the 5-7 day message so you may want to call. I didn't because I've had a crappy flu kicking my butt all week and had no voice but I wanted to. Good Luck

IMHO, I think it's best if you call in. I called in after i got the 7-10msg and the analyst approved my full asking CLI manually. Towards end of the phone conversation, she mentioned that i will get two letters in the mail: one auto-denied, and one approved. So I guess i was auto denied initially, I'm glad i called in! Just logged in and see my new CL at 35k!! Damn I aimed high thinking they would counter I should have gone higher! Lol so I guess the analysts do work on weekends so much for the info given by the live chat csr. 😀
