True Value - Comenity Recon INQ's?

Well then... I got excited when I saw a poster get an instant approval for it with newer credit and much lower EX score then me and the fact that comenity was pulling EX for it instead of EQ so applied and DECLINED because of BK.

I guess Comenity just really isn't BK friendly at all when it comes to the Visa/MC/Discover Products

Oh well, should have stayed in the garden like my plans were

App envy will get ya every time. When I get an itchy trigger finger, I stay far away from the Credit Card Approvals section!!

so My BK is gone and called in and asked to have it reviewed again since it was declined for bk and that is not there... She put me on hold for a few minutes and comes back and says it doesn't look like it was denied for BK but for INQ's ("after 4, we consider it excessive") WHAT?!

I asked since I have a relationship with the bank, if INQ's was the only issue, that seems like a small issue that could be over looked?

She said she does not have any power to override the computer decline.

Now I have seen people get approvals after denials for INQ's, so anything I can do, a different number to call?

Did you try the number I sent you to recon for virgin america card? I was denied just for inq and they approved me with no problem. I had 58 inq in two years so a little more than you😜

You should of stayed in the GARDEN WORLD! I'm tempted but I try my best to look at the bigger picture. CC with larger limits.

Well I did get a $2800 line with Pottery off a 618 or something EQ so I thought for sure a 660+ EX would warrant a nice CL and worth leaving garden 2 months early!

I also had a ton of inq.about 60 in the past 2 years and also got approved as well

This time this rep tells me it was originally declined for INQ's and when sent back through it was because the credit score was to low 653 according to them.

I said that doesn't seem to low for this card or their bank.

then I said well if it's not INQ's and not the BK can we look at my app for Virgin America!?

She said that application was declined for INQ's and then when reviewed again for the BK.

I said can you submit it for review from EX since the BK is not there?

she wasn't to sure but was going to send it to risk dept for review again.

I said this process is exhausting and old school to send to another department who then mails and then I call back and get a different reason and it's sent to be reviewed again outside the computer and wait for mail... blah blah... she was nice and we will see again but I would assume no again!~

Well least it got sent to the risk dept. My cli request got sent to them and they approved in a day or so. They're the ones that can overturn the system so I'd be cautiously optimistic at least 😃 good luck!

They cited a BK that had fallen off your CR?

Is the BK gone on all three CRBs?

this is kind of old... my ch 13 is still reporting on EQ, they have decided they would like to report it for 10 years instead of 7.

Yeah, I know it's an old thread, I was searching for True Value topics.

I was asking b/c of the thing where they saw the BK but you kept saying the BK was gone.
