I noticed that they only have apply in branch for this card.. I live in Florida would there be any where around that to get this card?

This has been discussed a bit on the boards. I believe one poster was able to call in and get his app approved but most have indicated they did not receive the Cash+ cc.

In the original form, it appears that the Cash Plus was unprofitable for US Bank (no caps on 5% earning, no cap on $25 bonuses, easy to use categories and enhancements for having a banking relationship). So, when they changed it, they made lots of changes to reduce "abuse". And one of these things was to make it branch only, making it harder to get a huge number of applications from all over the internet. I assume they feel happier controlling the number of new cards this way.

No doubt.....There is literally a US bank like 4 blocks from my house--though I've never been in it...

I have TWO branches right across the street and another branch less than half a mile down the same road. One branch inside Vons that is full service with a branch manager and regular branch hours. And another much bigger normal branch in a stand alone building across the parking lot. The branch half a mile down the street is inside Albertson's. I'm sure I could think of a dozen more in less than 2 miles if I tried. I've never been able to figure out how that much overhead is affordable in their business model.

Come on Wade. Give me more credit than that--I'm not an idiot. It was January 10th, 2014 and it is the cash + visa siggy that is in my sig. I will add that it was in response to a pre-qualified offer. Online app......

I live in Fort Lauderdale, I was able to app easily over the phone but have learned it's really a YMMV thing that way, some people were told you can't (which is not true) and some were given a different card etc., but some like me have had no issue, so try it I guess

I believe that those that couldn't were probably not within the us bank footprint.....
