I frequently forget that I'm dealing with a bank with them (in a good way). Even though they're not my highest limit card, they're either my favorite, or slightly behind my AMEX BCE. I am a big fan of both AMEX and Discover, personally. If there weren't places that didn't take Discover, I'd cancel Citi and not look back. But unfortunately, you still have to carry around a Visa for those places that don't take AMEX or Discover. I love talking wtih them as well. Every Discover CSR I've spoken with has been incredibly friendly and accomodating and it's a nice touch knowing what State they're in. Discover isn't my most favorite card, nor does it have the highest CL or lowest APR (in fact, it's my highest APR), but I want to continue doing business with them because they're such a pleasure to deal with.

I've never had a negative experience with Citi per say, but it's never stuck out in my mind of how amazing their rep was to me or anything. I'll probably app for a Discover IT when I app for CSP and Sallie Mae to complete the "trifecta of rotating 5% back cards", if only for the FICO and knowing that their customer service is always rated highly. So I completely understand what you mean by you saying you like to give business to those companies that treat you better.

Good luck on your future apps!

Anyone else annoyed with Citi?

So Citi released an "upgrade" for their mobile app earlier this month that is slow, buggy, and doesn't allow you to copy and paste passwords from a password manager such as LastPass (so basically the app is completely broken). The last issue is the deal breaker for me. I would have thought that they would have released a fix for their app by now, but since they haven't, I'm not using their card at all until they do. I've called customer service and they basically told me to go pound sand. Their reviews on the App Store have gone from 3 stars to under 1.5 stars. One would think that they would at least acknowledge their screw up with their mobile app and try to fix it, but there seems to be no action on their part. Is anyone else frustrated with how Citi is handling their botched iPhone app? I feel like they need to learn from Discover and American Express, since their apps are actually decent. And Barclaycard's app is fairly decent too (but not as good as AMEX's and Discover's). Anyone think that Citi will ever fix their app?

In short, I now regret going on my card cancelling fiesta last year (I nuked 3 Visas last year because I was happy with Citi). I would have kept another Visa card if I'd known that Citi would completely break their mobile app, and not do anything about it for a month.

I'm a big fan of Citi.. They've been nothing but good to me.

When you login to your Citi account on the computer if you notice at the top of the page, they are going through a website upgrade. I work in IT, and I would say it's likely if they are upgrading backend servers they are likely doing several things at once. I would be willing to bet after everything is done they will come back around and focus in on any issues with that App.
