BOA/$8000 CLI/BT 5700/0% interest/ 12 months/costing $99

I want to thank you all for posting your personal financial experiences. This motivates people like me to take giant leaps.

I was worried about util because my wife has a total of 12 accounts. she uses credit but never monitors them. one of her accounts util was about 50% and the other was 95%. I called BOA yesterday and inquired about the balance transfer and a CLI for cusion. I was told an account manager will look at the account today to know how high of a CLI I can get. I transfered 5700 to a 7000 CL at 0% interest for 12 months costing $99.

a fellow poster said fico could get hurt as a result of the BT. On my way home from work, I called BOA, Tel # 1-866-506-5067 and asked for the CLI again. The CSR tols me effective this morning, the CL was raised from $7000 to 15000. I went crazy. Came home, check my account and there it was.

$40,000 CL/ Owing 15% of it. No more worries. Now I can take my time to pay back and still spend comfortably.

Today was a good day. Can't wait to check out these Fico scores next month.
