NO Macys after all!?!?!

Got a letter stating that there was two apps done at the same time(YEA RIGHT) I talked to the CSR nd after telling him that I had talked to a girl(ON THE DAY OF MY APP) and answered security question from my CR how are they not able ot verify my address? He said to go inside a store and apply there that way they can verify my address.I asked him if it ill be a new app and of course he said YES, Kinda bummed Oh well Macys has been removed from my Siggy.

it probably won't actually be a new app... the computer will probably throw it to review because of a duplicate... Macy's is so messed up, they HATE the only system so i really just don't know why they don't do away with it if they hate it so much.

Hey Bears! Im sorry to hear Macys ended up declining your app cuz of Address verification issues. DSNB/Macys is very known to not trust their online services very much and thats why its always recommended to apply in the store so they can verify your ID right away.... Im sure you'll get approved if you decide to apply in the store the only inconvenient is the additional HP you will get on EXP.

Yea it sucks Im not sure if Ill apply , did any one notice how they sent the new red macys cc's?

That's why they want you to go to a store so they can verify it's really you. Because on your app they couldn't verify your current address. They don't want to give a card to someone stealing your identity.

If you have a picture ID to prove who you are should be good enough. You can ask at the store but it shouldn't be a problem. People move all the time and it takes awhile for credit reports to update current address.

I would assume so... I think more credit card fraud comes from people stealing card numbers and trying to buy gift cards. I used to work in retail we were told to be on high alert for people buying 500 gift cards.
