my friend was just approved for a 7k CSP, they dont spend enought to make the annual fee worth it.

do you think chase will pc it in a year to a freedom?

They might. Why not PC it to a CS. It doesn't have a fee. I think the CSP Os a great card to have though

Advice to your friend:

First, the AF is waived for the first year so might as well keep it until its due.

Second, why app for something that you cannot use?

I would think OP that it would be a VERY easy PC to Freedom.

PC to the Chase Sapphire and app for the Freedom so that your friend won't loose out on the Freedom bonus

all very good points.

theyre planning on keeping the card for the first year.

the reason they opened it is theyre going to a have a 5 thousand dollar bill that can be paid by credit card soon

meaning they will be able to reach the minium 3k very easily.

so i recommended getting the CSP for basically a free $500 after AU 5000 pionts and the 1% on 5000

I do like the idea of pcing to a CS and apping for a freedom, I will keep that in mind

the only reason i would debate saying PC it to a freedom is not having to have another hard pull or new trade line
