From what I've been told Chase does consider AU chase accounts as part of their internal risk model if you are applying for a new account with them - but not other issuers.

I don't know any that do, because you are not responsible for the repayment.

+2 Seems like your posting about new cards for you and family quite often. If you ever expect decent limit cards it's time to garden.

Pupeitmeister Im awaiting 2 responses and they will be surprises once I have an answer Ill post it(SORRY) Im glad my parents and sister were able to get in with BOfA, AMEX, Chase, Barclay and Capital One. No apps have been done most of the chase(AMAZON and Freedom) apps were from the last week of february but have just gotten approve this weekend for last week.

Ok so maybe they dont take it in consideration but it does help UTL which any bank can see right?

@cold Yes correct altho they are low limits they will grow and eventually PC to another product in the future.

While on the phone with Discover today, I asked about just this and she said they do not take AU's into account.

My husband did just get approved for a Chase card though and he only had AU accounts on his reports.

I think they just change their minds all the time and you just hope to get lucky

What about Citi, Cap One, GE Capital..

I'm also wondering if there is a difference between a person with just AU accounts, and a person that has established good history in addition to a AU account?

Citi takes them into account. I started off two months ago with AMEX BCE (1K) and Navy Fed ($500). In February, I got added as an AU on a 3 year Barclays card with a 10K limit. I applied for Citi as soon as it hit my reports and Citi turned around and gave me 5K!

I then apped for another AMEX (only another 1K) and Cap One (Only $500) - so I would say Citi likes them (takes them into consideration) while AMEX and Cap One do not.

NFCU will give you more credit than most other lenders, regardless of what is on your credit report.
