Does NFCU pull hard for membership?

I plan to only open a savings account, no checking. Any recent members notice a hard after applying?

Is it best to go ahead and get the checking to help with CC approvals?

They didn't for me; it was a SP on Equifax. However, I have all my credit reports frozen, so a HP may have otherwise ensued. They never mentioned the freeze being a problem to me upon opening my membership.

I got the checking about a week after opening my membership. I don't believe Chexsystem was pulled. At the time my membership was established, I just opened the required savings account. I also had to send them a copy of my driver license and SS card for id verification.

Nfcu hard pulls for membership, for cc app, for any other app you might think of and I'm sure I'm getting a hp just for typing this lol ... But treat them right and watch it grow!!

In Dec I opened a savings and CC acct on the same day. There was one HP for each.

I opened one last week..and got a notirfication from Transunion, so i guess they do a hard pull.
