Yes, TC alows you to dispute online wit EXP and TU. You can dispute some issues online with EQ but through their site.

I have had issues with my Score Watch not updating, and the final straw was when I recently paid off a $8,000 balance on my Discover Card and didn't get any notification. I called myFICO today and they gave me a free Equifax pull. I was surprised to find that my FICO score had not changed by much. Examining the report, I realized the for this is that my Discover Card history has not updated since January 2003!

This is the only real credit card I have right now. It has a limit of $13,000, and I have at least a 3 years history of on time payments. I think this data would obviously help my credit score. I called Discover and asked if they report to Equifax, and was told that when I apply for a loan, Equifax would update the information. Well, I applied for Chase card about 6 months ago, they pulled Equifax, and the Discover card info was not updated.

Has anyone else noted that Discover Card only reports to Experian and TransUnion? Can I somehow get Equifax to update this information?

My Discover reports to all three every month. I'd try contacting Discover again - maybe you can get a hold of somebody who can give better info. Their customer service reps are typically excellent!

My Discover More issued by Discover Bank reports every month to TU, EX, & EQ about 4 days after the closing date. Give Discover a call right away! I would say this is most unusual.

When EXP has not updated one of my accounts for 4 mos. I just disputed it online through TC and within 72 hrs. account was updated.

Another question. I've got 2 preapprovals for Discover More which is very tempting, I suppose Discover pulls EXP and what if I freeze EXP would they pull TU; what initial CL is to expect.

Update on this strange situation...

I called Discover and they told me that they report to Equifax each month. I called Equifax, and they agreed they were getting monthly reports, but said that Discover was reporting the date of last activity each month as January 2003. So on June 5th I filled a dispute that the date of last activity should be May 2008.

Just now I called the super secret Equifax backdoor number to determine the status. The service representative said that Discover has still not responded, but that she would update the date of last activity to May 2008 right now. Hopefully I should see a Score Watch alert with a bump from this in the next few days. Although will it make a difference if Equifax is still not reporting my credit limit? (Which I see Discover just bumped up by 1.5k!)

stef: The account is reporting, and is updated each month by Discover. I have had my Discover card since 9/2000, but they have not updated the date of last activity since 1/2003. It also does not report a credit limit or balance, and is reporting as terminated. Coincidentally, when I got home yesterday I had an letter from Equifax saying that their "investigation was complete" and basically there was no change. How they completed their investigation when they had not heard from Discover, I don't know. I called back today to determine what was going on, and he said that the DOLA was updated to 5/2008, but it is still reporting as "terminated" and not reporting the credit limit/balance. I had to file a new dispute on those issues. And now wait another 30 days to see what happens...
