BofA Cash Rewards Visa Signature Upgrade!

So as some of you may know i was trying to upgrade my Cash Rewards card to Visa Signature and was declined.....

Last night i did an online chat with a specialist within my online account and asked for the upgrade once more, and the rep reviwed my account and said i qualify for the conversion to visa signature and i said yes please..... the rep filled out the request and gave me a reference number and a special phone number of 1-866-445-6496 to check the status of my request and to expect the card in the mail in 2 to 4 weeks.

So earlier tonight i called the special number i listed above and it went to their "Customer Resolutuon Team" i spoke to a very nice lady she was so sweet sounding and when she asked for my card number i said i have a reference number and i gave her that instead and she looked it up and said "upgrade request?" i said yes. I said i was calling to make sure it was approved and she said yes, and that my card will be mailing out tomorrow and to expect it soon. I asked if all of my rewards rollover and she said yes and i asked about my auto redemption settings will need to be changed and she said they will transition everything for me! She thanked me for calling in and i thanked her for being there and she really liked that!

I'm glad Bank of America is really nice once again! Only that one issue with that rude credit analyst, every other time has always been a pleasure talking to them even if they can't always help me most of the time they find ways to make no sound nice.... lol!

How long have you had your card? I'm wanting to do the same after I get my limit over 5K

I've had my card since around June 2012. it started off as $300 secured and was converted to Cash Rewards Secured shortly after i finished activation..... then in the first week of May 2013 it unsecured got an increae to $700 as well as Annual Fee Completely Removed forever, and i've been working with it eversince more agressively getting credit limit increase and apr reduced in an effort to maximize its potential and continue to build come great history!

was wondering did you get a CLI? Did you get a HP for it? what was your CL when they approved u for the ugrade?

about 2 months ago i was trying to get a credit increase to bring me from 3k to 5k but it was a no go but i opted for a new card number at that time since i was part of the Target Breach and wantes to protect myself just in case. and i tried again and got a rude rep and another no go, so then i hicked it up to the executive office, and i was working with a EO rep to find a solutuon and in the end they ended up moving 2k from my BBR to my Cash Rewards to give it 5k and then when asked about a visa sig upgrade they said no but to try again at a later time. All of that was done with the same HP from January at my first attempt.

So now my line has sat at 5k and i used my card and went through 2 cycles and magically qualified for the upgrade!

My conversion is going well, but the suspence is killing me, i'm like a kid waiting for christmas.... lol. Today I recieved a letter in the mail from Bank of America saying that my request was recieved and resolved.

Can't wait till the new card comes in the mail!

Awesome I had a similar story as far as a secured card unsecuring and now with a 5k limit. Im going to ask for the Signature card probably in August seeing how I just got my PC'd card in the mail the Travel Rewards just a week or so ago. It did take over 4 weeks to come in though and the suspense almost killed me too waiting.

I got my Signature Visa yesterday in the mail! I activated it and upon activation i was transfered to a Customer Satisfaction Department rep who helped get my card activated, While we were waiting for it to activate she we had a conversation. She first asked how I like earning cash back, and I told her how I love it, and I gave her back story on my history with my card that I started with a Secured card and worked my way up and I am happy that I finally got the Signature upgrade.

I even told her how I get my rewards redeamed into my CMA account and then transfer it to my Roth IRA, she said that was awesome! She even asked me how was the weather and it was warm her in PA and she said she was in Pheonix AZ and she said how that when it gets to be 100 there she wishes she could come to PA..... LOL. She even asked me if there were Amish around my area and I said yes cuz there are here in PA, and she said that she doesn't know how they survive with no power...... I thought that was interesting that she said something like that considering the calls are " monitored and recorded " LOL!

Anyway then my card was all activated and I was all set and we nicely ended the call!

I even noticed on my card I have a different phone number than my regular card had. This one has 800-205-6247 which when i called it later to see what automated prompts I would get it said " Thankyou for calling Visa Signature " It said it in the Bank of America/ Fia Card Services voice. LOL. Imma think i'm gonna call that number for this card if i need to call them, unless they give me some problems then I will call one of the other 17 phone number I have for Bank of America/ Fia Card Services.

I'm glad my Visa Signature card finally came! I've worked so hard for this! It was a long time coming! Between this card and my Discover and Amex I now have made it to high class primeville! I'm loving every minute of it!
