Hi everyone I just joined this forum about 2 weeks or so ago and I have just been parsing through the different threads and found so much useful information! Im a 24 year old law student (almost at least, currently still an undergrad applying to law schools) who has a very minimal knowledge basis about credit, credit cards etc. Last year at this time my credit score was about 525 with only 1 capital one credit card to my name. As of today my credit score has risen to 668 and I now have 5 credit cards icluding the AMEX Premier Rewards Gold card that I was just approved for last week! Just wanted to say hello and a big thank you to all of the knowledgeable people on this forum you guys are awesome !!!!!

Congrats and welcome. From my own experience the lessons that can be learned from the contributors on this forum are invaluable. In my short 6 monthis here I have gone from from $1100 CL on 3 subprime cards to what I have in my sig. And I can honestly can say that I could not have done it without the help of these fine folks here. So listen and learn.

Great to hear ! I am excited to learn more about the world of credit from reliable sources. Great story you have as well. Very motivating. Funny because that Marriot Rewards card was the opposing card I was considering applying for instead of the AMEX gold that I got. Do you think I have a good chacne of being apporved for that card if I was approved for the AMEX?

I would think that you would. Chase has been very good to me, and should it not be auto approval, they are very good on recon. Good luck
