Capital One to offer free credit score?

I was logged into my account and saw a tab that said "credit score tracker" and when i clicked on it to read the terms. It looks like a free Trans Union score is going to be offered. The downside is it does not say its a fico socre anywhere. I tried to accept the terms and enroll but it looks like its not available yet. Has anyone else heard of this or if you are enrolled is it a credit monitoring service too or does it just give you a TU score?

update: i found an article on marketwatch that says its not available for another 30 days and that it provides credit monitoring too.

Do we know what score they provide?

Yup, mine has been on my mobile app for over a week now, it is TU, and it updated once a month or when ever a change happens to report that causes a score change. So it is like Barclay's where you get updated score and not like Discover where you have to wait for statement.

It's a fako. Originally, offered to the journey card, it was powered by Credit Karma. Now that they are expanding this to other cards, it's no longer Credit Karma, but still a Fako.

On my app it says Fico TU.

On my app it says Fico TU.

Either way, I'll take it. It's just another alert system. Like Credit Karmas mobile app with more than once a week updating if any changes happen on my report I get whoe new score and all account updating unlike their site.

Mine says TU but I don't see it saying FICO vs FAKO so I assume the latter

The simulator is a bit quirky but it seems like a nice service for free.

Can anyone post a picture of the button. I logged into my account on the computer, and the mobile app... and saw nothing I must be overlooking it.

I have been using it for a while now...it's available if you have the mobile app (at least for me). i could not find it on via my computer, however. it looks like it only factors in open accounts. also, i noticed it was missing several items. but it's a good security check i suppose.

The info provided is identical to what's in CK. It's definitely not a FICO score.

My Mobile app was not up to date. After updating, it showed on my phone.

Also in Terms it states score is for educational purposes only, and not to be used by a lender = FAKO

My score is not even close to my credit karma score. odd since they both pull from TU). i still cant find the online access!!!!!!

Geez...what is it about TU? Walmart...Discover...Barclays...now Cap1.

Very interesting...just signed up for mine. It is identical to my CK score, but it looks like this FAKO has a few other pieces of information they incorporate, so some people's may be slightly different. Just let my brother know as well so he can see if his compares. Thanks for posting!
