So maybe you should wait a few months to let your accounts age and then try again... instead of doing the PC. You are giving up almost $500 in signup bonus. If I decided to get a CSP, the signup bonus would be my main motivation.

It's me again. Still trying to hit that 100k After receiving the Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard and Chase Southwest Airlines Visa Signature with wonderful bonuses, I decided to try and product change my Chase Slate for the CSP. Called the backdoor number for Chase to ask that question, they told me that if I applied and was denied that they could reallocate credit to get the CSP open, but I would have to talk to customer service to see if I would then be eligible for signup bonus. Called customer service and they said I couldn't PC and that I would have to apply which I already knew that. In that scenario, if the backdoor did a PC, I would get the signup bonus. Well I decided to pull the trigger and apply for the CSP figuring it would be a denial anyway but I could do a PC through the backdoor. Application immediately in a pending status. Called backdoor number and amazingly I got the same person that I had originally spoke to. He went over my application with basic questions. He then said I see a 2004 BK on record (I didn't realize at time that BK was actually 2003). He said that all BK's require two reviewer approvals. He said that he was issuing the 1st line review approval and would forward application for 2nd line review approval and I would be notified online within 24 hours. I didn't ask any questions about possible limit or anything, I am just hopeful I can get at least the minimum 5K without doing a PC or reallocation. Overall, this was a good experience even if I'm eventually declined. It's my hope that the 1st line recommended approval means something. I had to go through a similiar process with the Chase Southwest Visa Signature but they called it fraud verification. In that case, the 1st reviewer recommended approval and transferred me to someone who verified info on credit report and then said I was approved. This would be totally awesome considering I just got the slate in October 2013 with $2,500 and manual cli in January 2014 and then the Chase Southwest Visa in March 2014. And to think when I first called the backdoor number I told the analyst that I most likely couldn't be approved for a 3rd card and I wanted to do a PC or reallocation. He told me then to go ahead and apply. Fingers crossed big time.

WOW....How do you manage that many accounts? Your overall goal is to reach 100,000? Are you out of SP CLI which is why you applied again with a HP?

Just trying to follow what you got going on :-)

Good luck! Chase took a lot of time on my apps too. I had some issues with them a while back and while it's showing on my report as either Closer or account transferred, it's all paid satisfactorily, I know that I'm on internal risk list with Chase and my apps have needed manual review by multiple people. And along with you, probably doesn't help that I added SO many TL and so much CL in such a short amount of time.

Wish you the best, I know what it's like to have to wait anxiously for an answer!!

12njoy

Your approach is the same as the ambition i been pressing ahead with too, and it's not for the faint of heart but managed intelligently as you obviously have, that effort in and of itself (not always) but can lay just the foundation expected provided of course all goes reasonable well to your favor.
I applaud your approach but like you, don't recommend others to put out their neck given the unpredictability of the timing that has to be precise with contingencies at the ready.

That being said i wish you a first place finish finally in achieving your goal.

I'm impressed and i just know the clock is Ticking in your favor to meet that mark.

Congrats!

Decided to call Chase to see. Apparently, I was misled last night about the recommendation for approval. The analyst today said that there was no recommendation to approve account. No problem, as I initially didn't expect to get approved for a 3rd card due to all the new activity. This is why card was declined she said due to 18 new accounts in 2013 and six so far this year. So I'm back to trying to do a PC. She said I have a $26.37 balance on my Slate card and that has to be paid first and then they will see if they can close the Slate and open the CSP. I asked if there were anyway to transfer balance or pay over the phone right now. She said I could pay over the phone but the payment has to be posted to my account before we can move forward. I just went ahead and made the payment online. She said it takes 24-48 hours to post. The payment is scheduled for today so it should post tonight at midnight, I hope. We'll try for the CSP once the Slate is paid. I should have known last night's conversation with Chase was too good to be true. As they say, If it sounds to good to be true, it most likely isn't true.

So maybe you should wait a few months to let your accounts age and then try again... instead of doing the PC. You are giving up almost $500 in signup bonus. If I decided to get a CSP, the signup bonus would be my main motivation.

I would be shocked if they grant a sign up bonus through a PC - not even sure what a Backdoor PC means since they are all done by contacting CS
