Finally Generated One?

Ok guys, so I have had my Capital One secured at $500 for 6 months the middle of this month. I have had, my AAMCO Car Care One card with a $1000 limit for 5 months the 19th (didn't get a cli from them after the 4th statement ) and had my BoA Secured 2 months on the 8th. I apparently still cannot get approved for anything and all of the prequalification websites say that they cannot find a record of me in their system. After my Cap One hits 6 months, should I be able to apply for unsecured lines of credit? And if so, what should I apply for with the best chances in this situation? I'm thinking I still haven't generated a legitimate FICO score yet and that might be what is killing me. Thanks!

If these are your first cards you will not generate a FICO until one of them has 6 months of history reported to the CRA. If that AAMCO is a GECRB card just hit the Luv button, its a sp, I will say you need to post 4 statements to be considered for the CLI and they dont have to be in consecutive months.

right. my cap 1 will be 6 months in the middle of april and i tried that for the cli from GECRB and i got denied. so is this the problem? also, which cards should i apply for after the six month mark that id have a good chance for?

If I remember correctly, you applied for a lot of loans and CC's not too long ago. I'd let those inquiries age first, and maybe apply for unsecured at 1 year.

spring leaf loan and some cards. i have 5-7 inquiries across my 3 reports. is that too many to apply?

If you only have 2-3 inquiries on each report, you're probably OK to apply for 1-2 more accounts. I'd maybe try Discover and Barclays if you don't have any baddies.

No baddies. Id like a Discover it or a Quicksilver if possible. Would those be a good chance?

You'd probably have a decent chance of getting Discover and QuickSilver One (I think that's what they call it, the one with an AF).

I'd definitely try for that, since it wouldn't appear as a new TL.

I am in the same boat. My oldest CL hits 6 months late April. I think the 6 statements rule is very good advice to get a FICO score.

I have had no trouble generating a Credit Score at TU and EQ, but having a hard time getting anything but a 9003 at Experian. Has the same happened to you?

i have no experian, no equifax, and i honestly dont know about the transunion. please keep me updated to see if this works for you. it sucks being in this boat.

Does anyone else think this is what is going on from what I said? (Thats why I made the thread previously asking if I should buy my 3 side by side scores to see it they were all generating).
