I requested a credit limit increase and went to an anlyst. It was declined and the analyst said I'd get a letter and she couldn't say why it was declined. Anyway, I've only been declined by a General Electric analyst once and it was a United States representative. Every time I get someone who is of a different nationality I always get what I ask. They are also a lot nicer and more fun to talk to in my experience, at any company.

Called today as just had my 4th statement and on my 3rd was auto CLI from $300 to $650.

I asked for $2500 and she came back after a bit of a hold and told me declined for ANY amount above the $650 currently.

now I'm grateful I have been given another chance with GE since I did settle 6 accounts with them last year but it's for sure costing me considering my score 675 is now higher then it was with ANY of my previous GE cards and I had PayPal MC too!

Is it just me or does it sound like the same barely english speaking reps from far far away that use to refer to the computer screen when you called in that now say they review your credit but can't say anything but "a letter has been sent"

I'm waiting for my payment to clear and then I'mn going to try the luv button but I can't help myself from wanting to apply for other GE cards but clearly they seem to have a block on me for the most part and since it's computer decisions all the way it's hard to gauge how long I should wait before applying!!! My denial letters have never changed rather my score is a 550 or a 675 they give the same reasons and the same reasons that come on the "cost of your credit" so I feel they are pointless to depend on.
