I love amex!!!

I m at the Deli in a rush didnt even bring my purse just my amex everyday. Im at the counter and the card keeps getting denied, I said it cant be.... I call amex and was like im at the store and the card is denied, he said let me check and he said you acutally have no credit availble. But he said will try for an emergeny increase and they approved it for 1k. I didnt keep track on the spending for this card but amex saved the day!!! I got to make a payment right away now.

I know i had like $5 on the card relizing i thought i had more and my transcation was for much more.

Haha....I was thinking the same thing!!!

OP didn't you just get this card? So is the 1,000 emergency just until they investigate the problem? They gave you know clue why this happened? You have the worries experience with cards....guess it's those sprees you went on? Keep us posted and GL.

I have a 15,000 credit line on the everyday. I had a balance of 14,996.00 when i went to deli... I thought I had about $500 left on it but i didnt know my husband used it... so the card was denied but I didnt have any other cards or cash so I had to call them and they gave a cli. no fraud or anything.

Yikes, I'll kill my husband if he put charges like that on my card without communicating that back to me....regardless, if it was personal or for our business if I had one. Just saying.

totally agree with you, I put money on it myself, but he had to use it he said after the fact.... annoying LOL.. plus the deli was full of all my neighbors and parents i know from the school

Why would you not use your Amex with NPSL if you know your utilization is going to be that high? Your signature line shows a platinum and a Delta Reseve with 60,000 CL. Are you above 60,000 is one month?

AMEX gives emergency increases when there's no credit available? I guess we all learn something new EveryDay!

How did they give you a CLI on this card when you just got it and you've received CLI on your others all within the 61 CLI rule? You seem to break or say lucky when it comes to the credit rules. I can't keep up with all your suprises. Glad it all worked out.
