Anyone familiar with Consumers CU (myconsumersorg)?

I'm wondering because I have read that they pull TU and that one does not need to be a member to apply for their credit products?

I'm not that familiar with credit unions as there are sooooo many, but is it usual to not have to be a member of a credit union but able to apply for their credit services?

From what I read, they use TU for credit products, but also pull EQ for membership. There is a non-member application process, so I would assume they allow non-members to apply. But don't be surprised if they come back stating that in order to complete the credit card application you would need to apply for membership.

The Sig Cash Back looks like another good substitute for BCE/BCP, with a total cap of $6K cash back

They must mean a $6000 spend cap, but that wording sounds like its a $6000 cap on cash back earnings.

Its a VISA, so some might prefer this card over a BCE. I wonder how useful the 3% on Convenience Stores would be. i think most Convenience stores in my area got forced out of business, and replaced with either apartment buildings, a CVS/Pharmacy, or Apartment buildings with a CVS/Pharmacy in them...

After reading your reply I filled out a membership application (it's $5 to join if you're not affiliated in some way)

They pulled up all 4 of their Visa cards during my app, which said 'products we have reviewed you to elidgible for'

So I clicked on the Visa Signature (I think the max was $40,000, I chose $10,000)

Clicked the next button to confirm everything and got a flat out denial for membership (which was just a savings account, strange that even that was declined) annnnd for the Visa card

They sp Equifax and hp TU

For anyone that may be interested in the future

So they sp EQ for membership and hp TU for cards? Not a bad find since 75% of lenders pull EX.

IME, most CU pull EQ for membership and some other for credit products. I know NFCU did a double pull on me...EQ and TU.

Not mine, but to each their own. There is possibly more CU's out there than there are minutes in 1 calendar year.

Is it hp on TU + EQ. Or just hp on TU?

If I applied I would do Visa Sig Rewards. Not sure what limit to ask, maybe 20% of income?

It was a sp on equifax for membership (I didn't add the checking only savings account) and a hp on TU for the credit card .
I wish I just applied for the membership and then just waited. Super easy application process too. They showed up as Andera on my equifax sp
