Has anybody had any luck getting a higher CL right after approval with GE capital?

I have heard of people calling immediately after receiving the card and getting a CLI. Also, you can hit the luv button if you have set up your online account.

Right after approval?

With Lowes, YES via instant message chat from account.

With Care Credit, YES. via Automated Phone system.

The others, No. (Walmart,Amazon,Sweetwater)

Had to wait 4 months on those.

Of course, YMMV but that was my personal experience trying to get a CLI right after approvals.

Funny I applied for Sam's club last Friday April 4, 2014. I was approve of course. I called the credit solutions and asked for an increase of 15,000.00$. I was denied. Today Thursday April 10, 2014 I receive the reason why. I need to make 1 month payment before I can ask for an credit increase. Which I had a feeling since I was approve for Lowe's in January 2014 and used 22.34$. Then asked for a credit increase of 3,500.00$ in March 2014 approved. Then called back 2 weeks later and ask for 10,000.00$ approved. All from using it once and paying it in full.

mmmmm i dont know what to do know. This is for HhGregg i really want a higher credit bc although what i got is enough for the purchase im planning it would put my utilization on that card at like 85%, my credit is far from perfect so im not expecting 10k but 5k would do, i only got $2000.

Hmm when did you get approve? I do believe the pull from Experian. If it's less then 30days from when you were approved they use the same credit pull. If possible, use it then pay it in full which would show usage and payment. Then call them back and ask for an increase. I do believe HHgregg require a Hard inquiry.

Call them and explain that the CL isn't large enough for the purchases you want to make. The worst they can say is no. Some like CareCredit is a HP for CLI I'm not sure if HHGregg is one of them. Maybe search the forum top right of page and see what others have done.

They may want you to wait for the card. You wont know that for sure unless you call GECRB credit solutions.

Okay. Do this call them and ask for 15,000.00$. They will use the same pull and you might get about 500.00$ - 1,000.00$ extra. Then you would receive a letter stating why you couldn't get the amount requested. I did it and I got only 1,000.00$ extra. So, I will use and pay in full for about 6 months since they do Hard inquiries.

could you give the number you called bc regular credit solutions apparently doesnt deal with hhgregg card but it does w walmart.
