I just got my card in the mail today. I called and activated it and asked about a CLI because I'm interested in doing a BT but wanted to maintain good UTI. The CSR informed me that it would be a second HP even though they only pulled my credit last week. Is there a good backdoor # to call and try to do this or will it be a second HP no matter what number I call? I didn't go for it because I didn't want the second HP.

Thanks

Chase is a hard nut to crack.

Many instead of asking for a CLI have had better luck applying for another card and got alot higher limit then if asked for a CLI.

My example as a test to see if true.

Chase Freedom was 500.00 starting limit was going to ask for CLI

Decided to apply for CSP got 12,000 starting limit.

Then called next day had them transfer x Amount to Freedom

FWIW i called the EO and tried getting a CLI on the same report pull on my week old/two week old card. They said they'd call me back and tell me if it was possible. And they called me and said they were sending ti to underwriters. Denied though. My limits and cards have outgrown my Chase ones. Im willing to take a HP for a CLI but if thats the case I should jst apply for a slate or CSP and transfer the lines over. I dont wanna hurt AAOA though as my file isnt as thick yet,,,any suggestions?
