Weird Barclay

Hi all,

hey i just logged into my Barclay Reward account and my 5th statement cut today showing bal of 41.56 (1500 limit).

But my available credit shows 1308.44 (missing 150). just called the rep and asked her if i got CLD....she says no and she says they always either email or mail b4 the actual

any CLD. So as far as why 150 is missing she has no idea and said wait til tomorrow and see if it updates. she confirmed my transaction on 4/5.(everything is ok).

my personal take is, i know this may sound lil crazy but i think the Barclay computer is doing some sort of number crunching stuff to figure out how much to CLI me.

Anybody have any ideas as to how come 150 is missing from my limit?

P.S. Can I expect CLI this or next month (Been puttin' through bout 400-500 a month since opening.

I would say wait till your account updates, or try talking to another csr, im not sure how many you talked to.

Available credit is not the CL of the account. I would suspect a hold has been placed pending clearance of a recent payment you made.

C'mon, my last charge was on 4/5 and today is only freakin'..........lol

as a matter of fact, just to give some idea here...i got online around 6pm today so cal time to see any cli and available credit SHOWED 1458.44.

Logged off came back around 8pm and see my availble credit at 1308.44.

yes i understand availble credit is not same as my CL of 1500.

I did make my tmobile payment of 91 on 4/2 i think but that payment has already been posted.

I hope you are right though about the payment thing.

I just hope its not some sort of fraud thing happening here and or CLD.

Only spoke to a 1 lady and there was a lot of background noise i must say. I dont know what that was about, lol

Don't worry I had the exact same thing happen to me last week with my Barclay Apple Visa. I paid the remaining $200 balance on my card and after midnight it showed $0 balance and $2000 available credit. The following day I logged in and it shows $1300 available credit and $2000 credit line. I too freaked out thinking I was getting a CLD! I called and spoke to a very pleasant agent and she said the computers do strange things when they update and assured me not to worry about my credit line. The next day everything went back to normal. I'm approaching my 6th statement and wanted to make sure my utilization was in the single digits hoping for a CLI.

Hey on your 2 Barclay card, when did you apply between the two barclay cards and your quicksilver card did u start as a credit step program and your starting limit on quicksilver. thanks

I have been stuck at 1.5K on my silver one since 5/13, luv button always deny me.

been thinkin bout emailing the EO and waiting for auto increase as well but its been slow as hell.

All is well now, just checked again and everything is back to norm.

Good question

My first card was my CU Visa 8/07/13, Capital One 10/29/13 ($3k was initial CL) and yes I just found out through documents that's its part of credit steps automatic $500 CLI after 5 on time payments. I'm hoping for more from reading other posts.

Barclay Apple was 11/20/13, Discover 11/21/13, and Barclay US Air 11/25. I was initially denied for the US Air card and the rep called me back and asked me some questions. I told him the only reason I applied for the Apple was for an iPad and that I had just received one as a present two days after approval. He said he couldn't match the Apple but would I be willing to accept a lower amount of $1K. I said yes and received 20K miles and 5 for 5 on my credit approvals post BK!
