Denial for Barclays Upromise for DD

I had her app for the Upromise Barclay and since she has nothing on her file she got a denial after getting the 10 day waiting notice. This was about 2 weeks ago. So i decided to go ahead and add her as Joint to my Secured CC with CL of $1,000.00 which is just now 12 months old. Should she recon this or wait until the secured CC that she is now joint on show up on her report. I do need to pay down the balance and will be doing that in the next 2 weeks.

It's Barclay so you should definitely recon. What were the reasons listed for denial?

some have had luck with discover issuing first credit card

capital one journey too

It will take time for her secured credit card actvity to show on her CR.

Discover was my first credit card. After a bunch of denials, even from my own bank for no credit history, they gave me a chance. Great company too.
