Quicksilver One to Quicksilver Upgrade

Does anyone know if CapOne does a hard pull to upgrade a Quicksilver One to Quicksilver? I just upgraded my Platinum Mastercard to Quicksilver One, but I was wondering for down the road. Or, is this something they just do on their own based on their own criteria?

I do not think they do a hard pull for that, but you may want to send them a facebook message to get the EO team to answer

When i switched my Cap1 Card to QS i didnt see any HP, so im guessing for me it was a SP.

Just Google capital one ceo email. Send him an email someone will call you from the eo. Ask them to remove the annual fee from the card let them know how much u like cap one and how u have other cards with no fees

Cap One only does a HP for New Customers/New Tradelines.

Existing accounts are always a SP. Including CLI requests and PCs

Facebook method is a great way to go too.

A year ago (May 2013) I PC'd my Capital One Platinum MC ($19/year AF) to a Quicksilver MC (zero fees), which resulted in only a SP.

As others have already said, your switch will be only a SP

Yes, I changed my QS1 MC to a QS Platinum MC 2 months ago after I received my QS1 MC in February 2014. I called Cap 1 and they told me they couldnt do it so I got on Facebook and messaged them and it was changed within 2 days.

Thank you both, Transmogrify and Bee. Immediately after I got my QS1, I got a ton of preapprovals for the QS with no fee (maybe I should have apped for that in the first place?), and I called and the rep said I could not PC to the QS with no fee -- that it did not work that way, but I could get that card, too. I have no need for an additional QS card, so I declined. I guess I will read up on how to do it the way you did. Excellent info and exactly the info I needed to work on this. Thank you both so much!!

How does one contact Cap1 via Facebook? They seem to have several FB accounts. Which is the one to use.

I like to pc to QS as well but still dont know what for......I mean u still get 1.5 cash back like I do wit my QS1.

My main thing is what to do wit sony visa..... its point system is a joke.

I wish I could close it and move the limit ova to my QS1 ( I just might do that thro EO, which I highly doubt but I'm a give it a shot.

No HP, it's a SP! Just got my upgrade from QS1 to QS this Monday. Only had QS1 since October. Contacted the EO, he said I had upgrade options to Venture or Quicksilver. You can see which one i chose on the right.

Also as you can see from the pics QS1 is a matte finish with white in the center. QS is more shiny and reflective.

It's a rare bird, but if you PC to the QS from a CC that was MC, you'd get an MC (possibly a World MC if your CL is high enough).

Anyway, I want to do it, since I have a ridiculous AF on my QS1 (it was PC'ed from an old Household Bank CC) and don't want to keep calling the EO to get a fee waived.

I have a cap one platinum secured and just applied for the Quicksilver one and got approved☆☆☆ I currently have 5 inquiries on my experian report and I think this approval will make 6 I'll keep you posted.

I pc'ed from a Platinum MasterCard and yes it did turn into a MasterCard Quicksilver. Actually the process was really easy and in the same phone call I got them to lower my APR. So easy pc, no AF, lowered my APR. Cake 🎂

My AF is $74, since that was my original AF on the Household Bank acct. When Cap One acquired HSBC, that TL changed to a Platinum MC and I was able to PC that to a QS1 a while back. My goal is to get the QS1 CL raised to $5000 (clearly, that will take time) and then see if I can PC at that point to QS, so I can get the WMC. :-)
