Time for CLI request with GE Care Credit?

I have been waiting and trying to get my utilization down but money is a little tight until August. The Care credit card has a zero balance but i still have 55% on other cards. I mainly want to do this in hopes of getting my utilization to look better for sallie mae card. Care card is 1 year old this month and my last inquiry was getting this card May 2013. It will be a HP with this card, I might try to get CLIs on the rest of my cards first.

Edit: it also bothers me because its my lowest limit. lol. Im willing to take the HP hit if i think it will be a success. Not worth $500 but it is worth $5000

Ok I would call Credit Solutions directly and ask for 10K.

With carecredit you don't need to call credit solutions and you can use the automated system and ask for $20k, it will probably tell you to write down this code and transfer you to a rep (that is okay, do that) the system will come back with a counter instantly when on the phone with the rep.

My partner went from $800 to $12k on a counter from $20k.

i remember you sayin that before but i dont think you ever commented on his/her credit report. Were they much better off than me?

I know this seems trivial but i want to use 2 hard pulls and 2 pulls only this year because my next inquiry will be a mortgage next year. I only want the limit higher on care credit and one more card but if i need to wait 3 months i suppose i can (will get a large bonus to pay off util).

my partners credit I would say is better.... he has multiple $25k+ lines but he does have a decent debt load although consolidated down on 2 navy cards which is when the cli happened... his overall util is low with very high util. on the cards carrying the balacnes.

if you have used the card in the past and you are at a year now I think you are prime for some good cli luv despite other util.

as long as you are 1 year out from house buying im not sure why you are concerned about only having 2 hp's. I would go ahead and do it now.

Not necessarily. I was able to CLI from $2000 to $10200 by using the automated system, no HP. So if you get a CLI through the automated system, it's definitely YMMV. Going through a CSR is HP.

my next reporting date is the 15th and there will be a $340 balance decrease so my scores may jump a little. I will then do a cli request and let you guys know how it goes. thank you
