Chase Midcycle Update?

So I am new to chase, with my Amazon card. I don't know if this is usual or unusual.

But anyway my statement got cut on the 10th. Experian reported it the next day showing a $226 balance.

I paid in full at the branch yesterday. And today experian updated again and now it shows a zero balance.

I thought this was a little odd, is this normal for Chase?

Same thing has happened to me twice, which is why I make sure to leave a balance on one of my other cards when I want it to report.
