I check the pre qual sites from time to time, even though there is nothing there that I want. LOL.

I tried to find a prequalified link on AMEX website... CSR from Live chat said there wasn't one. She wrote that I'd have to go through the card application HP and either be accepted or denied.

How does one know if they have a REAL prescreen offer through AE or just the 'invited to apply song and dance?

It will say accept instead of apply. You won't have to put in full social either.
