Chase Freedom Card Approval After Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

I would like to apply for the chase freedom card. I have been discharged from a chapter 7 bankruptcy 2 years and 4 months ago. I have established credit for the last two years. What are the chances of getting approved with a recent chapter 7 bankruptcy?

IMHO not good they are not Bankruptcy friendly that soon after Bankruptcy.

If Chase included in Bankruptcy I'm still black listed after 17 years and that's because I had a credit card they acquired after my bankruptcy. I never had an actual Chase card.

One of my family member filed bankruptcy now after 9 years he got approve for chase freedom for $3000. Three different chase accounts were included in the bankruptcy. I know few other people with simiilar case. I think chase don't blacklist.

That was the reason for my denial past history. I have fair credit with some fair credit cards. It was not like I ever have a lot inquires maybe 2 on each credit bureau at the time. I only apply for maybe 1 or 2 cards a year. A credit score at the time was mid 720s. After 17 years I really can't think of a better word.

Thank you for your insight. This will keep my hard inquiries down, a credit card is important but there are also a lot of other important factors of credit. For example a mortgage and loan. I'm now looking at the Discover IT card, I was approved 6 months ago for a secured version, they offered an option to pay $300-$5000 to secure the card but I declined. I'm now going to re apply in about 2 months and see if they offer it to me again. The Discover IT card offers a similar array of benefits.
