Just logged onto my Sams club acct and its showing the new Sam's MC replacing the Discover Card I understood it was to happen on 6/23/14 but I guess they are just stepping it up a little. The new card has a different acct number and is requiring the sec code from the new card which I don't have yet. Has anybody got the new MC and what was the issue date; it is the same as the Sams Discover Card?. Are we going to get a new TL on our credit reports?

For current card holders the rewards to mastercard was the 19th

So we should be getting the new card soon......what about the new acct # and TL issue, do you have any info on that?

It's hard to say when we get the new card. I think it has something to do with the chip. That's why Walmart mastercard is later. I haven't heard if it's a new account or not. We continue to use our Sam's Discover until we get the new cards. But the rewards from the 19th will be mastercard rewards.

One of my last statements had all the information and it said sometime in July or August can't remember that we would get our cards.

I just received my new Walmart DC the other day, and their info, says the new Walmart Mastercard will convert on August 22, and should be getting new card in mail by 9/1/2014. Until you activated new card, you can still use Discver until end of October

Thats great that the new Walmart MC will have a chip. Will be easier to use overseas

I see you can apply for it today but didn't see any offers. But usually they give something. They may figure the rewards is incentive enough.

Went into Sam's today and they has fully displays advertising the card with quite a few signups. No bonus offered in store. I apped online this morning and was instantly approved for $1800. Called credit solutions and they bumped me up to $8000.

just apped online...approved for $3k. which was a downer since my Amex TE with Costo is 20k

Called credit solutions and asked for at least 10k...which was approved after reveiwing my credit file.

Should have aimed higher.

Ah well, already have Penfed so dont need it for the gas. the 3% on dining and travel (with "basically" no limit=5k annual is sufficient) beats out Amex TE so thatll be its primary use

5% gas first $6k, 3% restaurant and travel and 1% on everything else. If a Prime member extra bonus of $10 every $500 of spend in store.

I don't have a Freedom but the $6k is for a year after $6k 1% on gas.

Oh ok never mind for chase its 5% cash back every $1,500 every quarter, but still for a being a GE(SYNC) acct its a pretty good deal thanks coldmn!!

The cards CL grows pretty fast mine started at$3500 and never called for a CLI. Just auto and the love button. I opened it 10/2013
