MTA subway is considered Travel?

I have Easy pay Metrocard with the MTA ( Subway system in NYC) which basically works like an easy pass where it goes down to a certain amount and auto refils my metrocard . Now would that be consider travel charges?

For my CSP anything MTA related counts as travel, which includes ezpass,metrocard, and train fare

Ok Thanks I had this on my Amex BCE card but will move it to my Chase sapphire card

Just wondering because on my discover it posts as entertainment

I have my EasyPay Metrocard and EZ Pass on auto reload with my CSP. Both count as travel, along with taxis.

Even the RER in Paris counted as travel. Very happy when I check the statement and see the bonus points!

Discover has also considered my Metrocard as Travel, if I remember correctly.

I have read somewhere on the AmEx T&C, that short daily trips are regarded as "commutes", and not credited in the same way as "travel" for the purposes of rewards and benefits.

Yeah Discover does ... I was skimming through my charges from last year and thought i saw it as entertainment for some reason lol

on the Amex it is Tolls and Fees the metrocard
