How Is Citi Home Depot With New Card Increase?

Approved over the weekend for Citibank Financial Home Depot card with Instant Approval of 1k.

To make it even sweeter it was approved with SP only on EX. No doubt they SP approved off last month's CLI HP on my CDP.

What do you think the chances are of getting that SL raised higher without a new HP?

Without a HP I would think it near impossible though I might give it a shot in store at the credit desk.

It's gonna be first and foremost to ask them specifically if it will be another SP or HP. If a HP is required then no big deal, that's an easy decision.

If however they elevate it via SP again, this Magic one will be dancin on the ceilings.

Just log into your account online and request increase to $20k, they will answer back in about an hour or so usually and will counter if not the full amount!~

check threads from last week, don't short yourself... ASK HIGH!

Have to wait for the card to land first. Didn't get an option like some have reported to open an online account immediately, so i manually tried but without the pertinent security code on the card it returned an error.

I've grown much more comfortable speaking directly with UW's now and challenging initial decisions when needed. Even (ugh) spooked Barclay's.

then just call into backdoor number now and talk directly with them instead of doing online and waiting.

In addition to the previous answers, it just depends on how patient you can be. Home Depot regularly mails out solicitations that, if you spend over $299, of $399 or whatever they send out, they will increase your credit limit automatically...just by making a purchase that meets that requirement. At HD, that's an easy one to accomplish, and it's always a SP. My last 2 CLI with HD were this way, and all I had to do was make a purchase...and paid it off quickly!

Because of last months HP for CLI on CDP x3!

I was fully expecting to find a new HP when i pulled my report after the approval but Citi obviously used that data instead.

I got a paltry 500 dollar limit with SP and last week hit the luv button for 8500 increase. It was a hard pull but worth the hit for the overall increase.

I applied for the Home Depot Card in early June and got an initial limit of 4000. But 6 days later I applied to have my credit limit raised to 10000 and was surprise to get 15000 total credit limit. It was a soft pull because no inquiries was added to my credit report. They might have used the report from my initial application to make the decision.
