Adding Amex AU - do they get a hard pull?

I was thinking about adding DF to my Amex as an AU - the age would be good for her but also the MR points that we would both collectively rack up

If I were to add her, will she get a hard pull?

One more question - Amex has the option to do either additional card or AU. If I were to do additional card then I presume it would not report on her CRs, is that correct?

Yep no hard pull but they will report to CB, which could be a good thing.

as long as they don't have a past bad amex account there should be no problems adding them.

I thought additional cards with amex was just on business products, because no social is required.

Personal cards are added as AU user and social is required and it reports to credit report.

This is what is says when I click "Add a card" and then it has a form. The form does ask for SSN.

Complete the fields below to add up to five Additional Cardmembers to your account.
Add up to five Additional Cards to your account with no annual fee
Enjoy peace of mind knowing someone close to you shares the benefits of the Card
Additional Card member charges are itemized and separated on your regular monthly statement
If your Card or the Additional Card is lost or stolen, only that Card needs to be replaced because each Card has its own number

I can't tell if this is different from an AU. I do want this to report for her.

yes that is amex AU user. it will report to there credit.

"Additional card" is the same thing as AU, and yes, it will report.
