Does anyone know which scoring models the credit card companies use? The MyFico scores were pretty far off vs. the mortgage lender scores. For example, the EX score pulled by the lender was 23 points lower than what MyFico has; the TU was highest (lowest on MyFico); EX tied for lowest (highest on MyFico).

My wife and I will be closing on our new house in the next few days, and I'd like to apply for two or three credit cards to help furnish the house. With all available cash going to the down payment, I was thinking about applying for a Home Depot, Lowe's or Conn's card for applicances, as well as a Haverty's card for furniture. I already have a FNB Omaha Platiunum with $2400 limit. I spoke with a rep last week about a CLI and was told I qualified for $2000 increase, which I will gladly take once we close on the house.

What kind of limits could i expect to get if my mortgage lender scores are:

TU 663

EQ 636 (MyFico has this score at 658)

EX 636

Note: I have quite a few inquiries from the mortgage lender on my credit report. Not sure how that impacts me when it comes to getting a credit card.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
