Amex reporting new accounts

I got approved for Amex PRG on Jun17 and my first statement was cut on the 27th. I just had my second statement cut on the 29th and still no sign of Amex on my reports. Any idea when they report?

Mine reported super quickly, but I've seen others having to wait 3 statements. You could always contact them and find out. They'll make you call their credit bureau department for anything remotely related to the bureaus (has been annoying me of late). Don't have the number on me at the moment but I'm sure it's floating around here somewhere!

YMMV. My BCE reported after the 1st statement (I left a balance of <10%). If you PIF before 1st statement closes, that can delay reporting, but even some members that left a balance took 2-3 statements.

I am applying for mortgage and Amex backdated me to 1989 so I need this asap to show up on CB's. I called their credit bureau dept back in early July and csr said it would be reported on the 28th July. Is there a delay with CB's from when they get their data from Amex till they update?

They can take a few days. For me, EX is very quick to post, TU can take a while, and EQ is a wild card.

When it does finally report, a LO will see the reported since date as June 2014. Shouldn't be too much of a concern since it's a charge card.

mine was reported right on first closing date with the first statement. only appeared on EX though. took more than 2 weeks to show up on EQ and TU

I'm saying that your loan officer will not be fooled by Amex backdating. The reported since date will indicate a new account. Whether or not this will help you will be based on your overall file and whether or not the new acct will need to be addressed with a LOE.

If the backdated account only gives you a few months, then I wouldn't expect a big bump. Using me as an example, my MSD is 1985, adding another Amex would only be beneficial if I go on an app spree or TLs drop off my credit report.

I'm currently at 6.27 yrs, I have two mtgs that are due to fall off in Aug/Sept. The Amex I just added would put me at 6.60 when the two mtgs drop. Assuming they didn't fall off, I'll be at 7.15y

My AAOA now is 3 years with Amex I go to 4 Years 10 month.

IME, you'll see a better bump at 5+ years. By Sept, it should give you a few more points assuming your util is low.

For me second statement cut on 7/27, i was able to see it on my report 7/29 morning. It takes a day atleast for EX, other two gets updated in another 3-7 days

EX finally reported it this morning , got whopping 6 pts increase. I am now 733
