From reading the forums here regarding Chase and their recent recon successes I decided to app for a Chase Freedom today and got the dreaded we will contact you by mail in 30 days message. Called the backdoor number and spoke we a real nice person. I do have a Ch 7BK that falls off my report this October that she asked about. She also asked about how much do I pay on my credit cards each month as I showed up as having a low debt to income ratio. Answered all of her questions and she is recommending me for the card with a $1500 limit. Just waiting on supervisor approval and final verification. From others experiences, how long does that usually take?? I cant wait to kick Tribute and HSBC to the curb

Actually this will be my second highest card. I have an Airtran A+ visa thru Juniper at $1750 however Im not going to complain since I know this chase card will grow with me. I also go approved for a Walmart store card for $500 so I'm happy with what Ive got and once my BK finally drops off my report in Oct I may apply for an AMEX and boot Juniper to the curb.

How easy is Juniper, TRibute & HBSC to get? We're sitting at approximately 600 with a lates as recent as 3 months ago (substantial lates -- 120+ on a student loan).

Tribute is a starter card I would avoid like the plague unless you really need a credit card. They are just like First Premier. Juniper was approving on cards like the carnival seamiles and the Airtran A+ Card with TU scores in the low 600's. No AF but the interest rates are in the high 20's if you get it the rewards are nice but you want to try to PIF or limit your balance carried. Juniper also doesnt practice universal default which is nice but they also dont pass out CLI's very much either.
