CSP QUESTION

Hello community, I have a question about the CSP. I am new to this wonderful card and I was wondering how the points accumulate. Do the points show up instantly after a transaction has posted to the balance or do I have to wait after the cycle has finished for Chase to add up the points and show up on my Chase Ultimate Rewards?

Once a transaction has posted you can see how many points you will earn from it by clicking on the + sign next to the transaction. You won't have access to the points until they actually post which is once the statement has closed - and this happens once a month.

They don't get added to the account till the statement closes. However, you can see the points you will get for each transaction as you post.

So not instantly like Barclays or Cap One, but not one month delayed, like Amex!

That I know of, no So if you need a replacement feel free to request one! I think the only thing they may make you do is send you an envelope to return the old one.

If that’s the case, I think then we should not be worried of the heavy scratches on the card and just use it roughly. When its full of scratches, order a new one.

To answer your question. I have 3 CSP cards in total. Two metal with EMV chips and one standard plastic non EMV chip card. They all have the same card number and same EXP date so all of them are active and ready to use at any time. Chase sent me those because I am very picky lol I have one metal card in my wallet and the plastic one as well. The other metal card is at home in case i mess up the metal one in my wallet. Main reason why I carry the plastic non-emv chip CSP is because I shop at walmart a lot and their systems only allow emv chip cards to be inserted into the card slot. As I insert the card into that long, treacherous tunnel of doom I feel my cards getting brutally scratched. LOL So i asked chase to allow me to keep all these cards active so I don't have to waste my time with inserting my card but rather swiping it.

Sort of off topic, but I thought we were supposed to earn 3 points per transaction booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards? My posted transactions + sign only shows 2 points? Am I wrong?

You may be thinking about the First Friday thing, where it earns 3X points on dining every first friday of the month. Redeeming for travel via UR only nets you a 20% discount, I think.

So i booked my flight 5 tickets through UR Mall with expedia. So I only got two points per $1 spent. I just called and talked with chase, she said expedia gives me another point, once I complete the travel. So had I just booked it through chase UR travel, I would of got the 3 points per $1 spent. Flights were same price as expedia. Wish I would of knew that!. She said some times it better to go through the UR mall. Flowers.com was giving 20 points per $1 spent during valentine's. Also she said its before taxes. So my tickets were like $2100 before taxes.

I booked an upcoming hotel stay through the UR mall and the charge has already posted and I only got 2 points. Will I get an additional points after I complete the stay this weekend?? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

"You will also earn an additional 1 point for each $1 of airfare and hotel accommodation net purchases when you book at chase.com/ultimaterewards (for a total of 3 points)."

I just sent Chase a message asking why I haven't receievd 3 points, only 2 when I booked through UR.

The only thing i would just double check is you got 1 point for all purchases 1 point for travel bonus and 1 point for booking thru ur mall. I just looked at when i booked my tickets , maybe you missed the all purchases part?

How long after approval did it take for you to receive your card? I just got approved on Thursday evening, and I'm anxious to start making my purchases to hit the 3000 spend. The approval message said 7-10 business days. Have you received yours earlier or can I request the card to be expedited?
