Chase Freedom has arrived...

I am more than happy and grateful for the credit approval of my Chase Freedom... YET extremely disappointed with the VERY underwhelming presentation of it's delivery... LOL!!! The presentation was a feeling of "un-importance"... The card I have to admit is purdy - metallic-like!!! I guess I got spoiled with Discover's presentation, or EVEN Victoria Secret's (for that matter - go figure)...?!? I guess (also) I was expecting what I receieved when I opened my checking with Chase as well, upscale-like & VERY professional with it's presentation... All-in-all, It's the card that really matters when it comes down to it!!! YAY!!! It has arrived!!!

Congrats! I got my Freedom about a week ago and I've been loving it. Sure the delivery was underwhelming (compared to Discover) but I'm loving the look and feel of the card.

Haha...I think Discover outdoes everyone in card DELIVERY presentation. If only the card itself were prettier...and metal!

LOL!!! You're right about the delivery!!! I'm waiting for my personalized version of my Discover to arrive, I ordered copper (not too fond of the standard) - wondering if same presentation...?1? I have actually gotten A LOT of compliments on my current Discover!!! People are like, WOW!?! LOL!!!

Congrats! Mine also arrived today and yes there's nothing thrilling about the plain bulky envelope upon arrival lol But the card itself is sleek and glossy so I got over it. Not really loving the look of the Capital One Platinum card in online pics I doubt my view will change once it arrives so for now this is my pretty card Every little bit helps in the rebuilding process

Congrats to you too!!! As for my C1 Plat MC, I had already customized it - it's a pic of a Hawaii Sunset with Palm Trees... for that card, it really doesn't matter for me I guess, I only use it for online bill payments - never swiped it in public yet (kinda wish I never applied for it...!?!)

LOL you're not a dork at all! I totally get it. Held the thing in my hands and fawned over it like it was a newborn or something earlier Super exciting time for me! But yea I wasnt prepared for the customize pic option with the Platinum card. All my pics are on my phone so it was either do a quick google search and come up with something or email pics to myself and look through them. Both options seemed like a hassle so I said screw it ill take the standard bleck design lol Trying to decide which bill I want to pay monthly so I can use up some of this paltry $300 limit

If you ever change the design on your Hawaiian WEMC the Paradise design looks really nice youll get a lot of compliments.

Would you rather have them tell the whole world you have a Credit card coming and the the Mail guy or somebody inbtween to steal it ?

LOL!!! I think "everyone" knows there's a huge difference between advertsing CC arrivals on the envelope vs. the presentation of the card once you open it & it's revealed...?!? I see you have a Discover in your siggy, so I believe you know what was being conveyed here in this post... Have a GREAT DAY!!!

I probably won't, my C1 Plat MC I have already chose an island photo - looks good, not too cheesy... My HAL WEMC, I chose the standard Plumeria design because of it's authentic design & look - very upscale & classy (as far as we islanders see it)...

Re presentation: Have to remember that the Freedom is an entry-level card for Chase, so they may not see a need for fancy delivery. Discover does it because they need to build market share. Most cards outside the real top tier are delivered in a fairly standard way.

the Chase sapphire is the same and I would assume the CSP as well ...
