Capital One Venture - Miles Redemption

Soooo I have 21,354 miles on my Venture One. I'm trying to redeem these miles for a flight costing $385. Is there seriously no way to pay partially with Points and the other half credit card?

Will the "Purchase Eraser" allow me to pay partially points? I highly doubt it, being as it would be a whole transaction total $385 - it only erases single transaction??

*Call me a moron if i'm missing something here, please.*

I could just do 2 one way tickets?

Just seems like they would allow this to happen - alot of other cards do, I believe.

Can't partially pay. I know it sucks. Need to have the full amount covered by points. I guess you could try two one way tickets and see if that works. My biggest gripe about my venture card is this.

This sucks.

I played with it for a while trying to see what I could do. Lol. I even tried calling to see if they could do it - "There will be a $25 convenience fee, please hold if you wish to continue." I immediately hung up. Lol!

I dont know if the barclays card has the same issue or if they have a min amount you need to spend before you can redeem.

Nope... Barclays lets you use their miles partially. (erase part of your travel charges) That is the reason my votes go to the Arrival / Arrival +

Wait I'm confused...if I buy a ticket for $600 (using the Venture) and have 40,000 miles ($400), I can't apply that $400 toward the price of the ticket (pay myself back) through a statement credit? That makes no sense.

Or are you trying to do something else?

According to the T&C's the redemption has to be for the full amount. Partial amounts will not be processed.
