Cap1 QS 1 World Elite Mastercard

I know some people here have Capital 1 Quicksilver 1 Mastercards, World Elite version. How did you go about getting them? I contacted EO and they said they can only upgrade to World version, but not World Elite.

Currently in the same boat as you. I just contacted them on fb and now waiting a call. I think for elite you need to charge a lot and pif every month is from what i have read.

I have the Cap One QS World Mastercard, but no WEMC. From talking to the EO, I had to first get the QS (upgraded from QS1) and I had to have a limit of over 5k. When I was trying to get the WMC, I had a 3k limit, and he told me that wouldn't be enough. Weirdly enough, I have read on here where people got upgraded to the WMC with a 3k line though, so I suppose it depends on what EO you talk to or something.

I had the QS1 for about 4 months before they converted it to a QS1 WEMC. I originally asked the online representative about converting it to the WORLD master but been told they don't do that anymore. Then a few days later, I went online to check my balance and the name of the card changed to "WEMC". Then I subsequently received an email from CapOne that they automatically upgrade me to the WEMC because I am such a good customer blah blah blah ....

Oh that's awesome! May I ask what your credit limit was on the card? I like that they'll do that for both the QS and QS1. Have you pestered them at all since then to get it changed to the QS and not the QS1 so you don't have to deal with asking for removal of the AF every year?

Maybe that will be my next request to the EO... WMC to WEMC lol!

My limit is 3k - but credit step will be kicking in soon - one more statement, currently at 5th statement now. I only asked them about converting it to the WORLD and as soon as I've been told they don't do that anymore, I gave up. Then a few days later, I got the email that said they automatically upgraded me to the WEMC.

Mine is a tad over 5k and it's being upgraded to World version. And only when it got over 5k then the EO were willing to issue the world mastercard version. I'm trying to see if there's a way to get it the world elite. I think the EO is not averse to doing it, except perhaps they don't know how? I there's a specific step to take i can go back to them with that info and maybe get it done.

Mine got upgraded from plat mastercard to WEMC out of the blue one day. Never asked, just logged in to find it was a WEMC. CL is 6K, had the card for 2 years, not very heavy usage.

Indeed my friend! the shiny silver logo is pretty enticing, and that's why I want to upgrade to it. But from looks of it, people only get auto-upgrades to it. No one has requested and had it honored on the spot.
