Cap One Credit Steps CL's?

I'm curious about the experience of others who have had a Capital One Credit Steps card. Once you fulfilled the requirements, what sort of CL's were you granted? Has anyone grown/transitioned their Credit Steps starter/rebuilder cards into "real/prime" cards (which I'd define as low apr, no AF/rewards enough to justify the AF, and CL's over $5k)?

I have two accounts that started as Credit Steps:

#1: Started as a $500 Platinum MC with a promise of $750 if requirements were met. Once met, I received a $1500 bump to $2000. It currently sits at $2500 and has been upgraded to a QSO through EO/FB.

#2: Started as a $500 QSO, promise of $750. Requirements were met: bumped $250 to $750. I stopped using the card in April, but out of the blue this month I got a $3k bump to $3750. Attempted an upgrade to no annual fee a few days later, but was declined.

I'm SDing these two cards right now, but I'm just curious if there's evidence to support that these haven't reached their ceilings.

I'll be finding out in about another month or so. My sixth statement generates in September and I started out with their Journey card and was able to upgrade it to a Quicksilver Visa so I hope that will be a positive factor as to how much they will give me.

My Brother was approved for the Capital One Sony Card in August of 2013 with a credit limit of $500.00. Through the credit steps program, his initial limit went from $500.00 to $750.00 in February of 2014. In June of 2014, his credit limit went from $750.00 to $2,750.00. No luv button, just an out of the blue credit limit increase.

I started off with the cap1 platinum with a 3k limit in the credit steps program,then they upgraded to cash rewards, and then it changed to quicksilver. after 6 months I got a cli of $500, to $3500, and haven't gotten another one since.

My credit steps card started with a Credit limit of $750 from 04/2013 to 08/2013; $1,250 from 09/2013 to 01/2014; $1,750 from 02/2014 to present

I called right after that $1250 increase and was able to "upgrade" it to add 1.5% rewards, as the card I opened was probably a platinum.

Mine didnt come with an annual fee, though my other Cap1 card did, and that I got waived kinda recently.

Never thought about calling for an APR reduction, but I just dont use either card.

My 6th statement is next month. I started with a $300 limit I hope they give me a nice increase.

My 6th statement isn't until first week of January but if I can remember I will definitely come back and report the results. I was able to PC my Platinum card to a no AF QS this week so I'm hoping the increase is a lot more significant than the extra $200 they emailed me about.

We have three Cap One credit steps cards. My QS1 started with a CL of $300, and got bumped to $1300. We used it a lot and PIF several times a month. Same with spouse's Journey card: $300 to $1300. Both had said they'd go to $500. My Spark Cash (business) card went from $1000 to $1500, which I think is the standard bump.

that is in your signature. type you scores. amounts whatever. but to put credit card picks. just google the cards.

go to photobucket.com and it will save code. then paste code in your signature. BOOM!!!

I applied for and received my Cap One QS in November of 2013 with a 300.00 CL,I was enrolled in the credit steps program and in May I received a bump to 1800.00. I received an email notifying me of the increase and that in order to continue to receive increases I should continue to do what I am doing. That bump gave me confidence to apply for a Chase Sapphire card the following month and I was instantly approved for 5k.

So what exactly were you doing if you dont mind sharing? I mean as far as payments, card usage, balances etc. I would love to see a bump up to $1800!
