American Express in my case. Gave me 2000 dollars in CL at the time.

Citi TYP - $4,000 , $6,000 about a month later

Amex EveryDay- $4,000 Applied for the amex right after the Citi card

Chase CS, CSP and Marriott which are at $5,000 but thats because $5,000 min CL

Citi with 17K and this was my first card with a 5 digit approval... I remember that I was in deep shock when I saw that temporary card to buy my AA ticket and really thought it was some other figure but not the CL ..lol

First it was USAA at $7,000 but in the same month NFCU topped them at $12,500.

USAA @ $12K, but also 21.9% APR, raised it to $22K after 8 months. Amex next with $10K.

Depends on what you have in your report already. In my case, Sallie Mae @ $12,400 with their lowest possible APR.

Citi was my initial highest. At time. Highest limit was 500 dollars. The said said what. 2000.

To date Citi has been my initial highest limit with $2,500. Probably because they pull EQ which is my best report. Then again, it was a double pull of EX/EQ so...who knows. I hear they're the most generous with initial CLs.

Highest initial rate on a card, if i didn't have a relationship with the creditor would be AMEX Blue, $6k

Highest initial rate on any card goes to Chase SouthWesten card 20k

Hmmm, Thats an interesting question to answer without context....

When I got the Loft MC, CL was 4900, when I got my SG MC, CL was 7K.

Then I app spreed and was approved for Discover, Freedom and AMEX on the same day. Freedom was 5500, Discover was 9K and AMEX was 10K

Three months later, when I got my Chase Marriott, they gave me 12K - so while Chase has now given my highest initial CL, its not what I would have got if I started there - KWIM?

From what I have seen on the boards, CU credit cards seem to be the way to go if you want a very high CL (10K+). That being said, if your EX is 704, the AmexED might be a good place to start.

WaMu (back before Chase took over) started me off with $5300, probably because I was requesting BTs at the time of application.

For initial CLs at the time of app my highest was with Chase at 17k. That was my second chase card though. I am hoping for a strong showing from citi when I app in Jan since I heard they give better CLs when you already have a card with them (my first citi card was 11k).
