NFCU question

i see everyone here talking about how awesome NFCU cc are awesome with the limitis and such, but do you have to be in the military at some time to get in with them? or what are the requirements to get a cc thru them?

do i just try to setup a account? do they have fees on their accounts?

The requirements are be recieving a ckeckl from DoD. or

Have a family member that is an active member sponsor you. or

Have a household member sponsor you.

Don't try to get around the membership eligibility as they will catch you and freeze then close your accounts.

Department of Defense, any active military or active reservist or any DoD employed civilian.
