What will be the best overall spending card?

I don't travel often enough to make good use of travel cards. So I canceled my CSP & Barclaycard arrival+. My profile is in my sig.

My oldest card was opened 15 years ago. AAoA is 4 years. No negatives or late payments. Decent income.

My major spending are groceries, gas and rent. What do you recomand for an overall spending card (prefer no AF)?

My scores are around 760ish across the board. I will not apply any cards until the begining of next year. Thanks in advance!

If your gas and groceries spending isn't an huge amount I would go Sallie Mae with either qs/fidelity amex

And if they are a large amount, Amex Blue Cash.

How much groceries are we talking about?

Sallie Mae grocery is capped at $250 a month.

Amex Blue Cash (not BCE or BCP) gives 1% back for the first $6500 a year and then 5% unlimited after that so you would really need to spend a lot to get decent rewards.

Also, do you pay rent with a credit card? If so, isn't there a fee associated with it? I remember at my old apartment, VISA cards had the lowest fee.

I recommend either (or both) Fidelity Amex which is a 2% everything visa card or Capital One Quicksilver which is a 1.5% everything visa card, both with no AF.
