Barclay PC

Has anybody done a successful PC to the Ring card? I currently have an Arrival, Sallie, Rewards Visa with Barclay, the Arrival and Rewards Visa aren't as useful as I had hoped and was wondering if the Ring would possibly be better. Honestly if they wont even entertain that idea I may close Arrival and Visa and have CL put on my Sallie.

I've asked to PC my upromise card to a ring a couple times and they always told me no. I suppose I could try the EO but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I kind of figured they would say no. I've been trying to PC my Rewards Visa for a while and its always a no. I suppose I could go the EO route as well. Maybe I'll try that before closing the cards.

This thread made me ask for a CLI on my card from them because I've never gotten one in the time I've had it..."decision will be made in 48 hours"

Make sure you are calling the analyst number!

I called the analyst number and I was able to PC my original arrival card to a ring card about a year ago.

And about two months ago I was able to PC my ring card back to the new arrival card ...

Did you not like the ring? the low apr seems nice...and I know they had some weird reward scheme going on. I never fully understood it though

I got a no when I called today. I guess I'll try again next week, its funny how finicky they are with stuff. It seems like there is no set rules just depends who you talk to.

Is there any upside to this card besides the low rate? Do you guys plan to carry a balance or is there some rewards I am missing?

Other than the 8% APR, 0% and $0 BT Fee and 1% FTF, the card brings a community together. There are forums much like the ones here are myFico in which people discuss best practices for credit, etc. What really cool is card members get to vote on what kind of perks they would like to see on the card every so often and they choose what's do-able an make it happen. I think most recently the FTF fee was adjusted. For a long time card memebers were posting asking for a new card design and just today they posted three new designs to vote on. There's also some giveback thing which I still don't understand nor do I care really...hah. I really like the fact that there is no BT fee if I need wiggle room with any other bills (mainly PRG). I usually pay 90% of in full each month but it's nice to know I have an option to leave a balance with a low APR.

Well, this is embrassing...

I got the arrival but with high APR and I didn't like it (although I don't carry balances at all), so I PC my arrival to a ring and then asked for a lower APR. Then, after I knew the new arrival cards came out, I PC my ring back to arrival. The APR is still the one when I had with ring.

I have had my apple visa for 5 1/2 months. I decieded to not make the purchase and therefore, never used the card for apple. I have been just using it for about 300 in monthly purcahses and then pif.... I did my credit line trippled last week with a hard pull though.

I have heard some people have been able to get their apple pc'd to rewards visa. Not sure i should call and ask or wait it out?

I just called the CSR number on the back of my Arrival Card. They just keep saying there is nothing available to me right now for PC. When I ask if I need to wait longer I get told they arent sure....hmmmm

You need to call the analyst number, not the number on the back of your card. You have a much better chance getting things done through that number. Good luck

Just called up. No go on the ring card, but got an offer for the rewards or arrival card, got the arrival. got 10,000 points on my first purchase.
