Came across this offer for BoA Virgin Atlantic:

20k after first purchase

50k after $12k spend in 6 months

15k at anniversary

5k for adding AU

(plus the 12k 18k miles for $12k spend requirement)

Landing page

Their list of Hotel and Airline partners is quite impressive as well. 10 HHonors points awarded per $1 spent at Hilton, for example. I'm thinking about applying, but also want to get CLI on Cash Rewards. Anybody have luck getting both for 1 hard pull?

it's 18000 miles for 12k spend, 1.5 per dollar.

So, it's really

20000+50000+18000+15000+5000=108,000

I should be able to do the spend. I already have 4 BoA cards though, asking for a fifth might be pushing it.

There is also this hidden in the T&Cs...

If you spend at least $25,000 in Net Purchases using your card within a year (beginning on the date you open your account and continuing for every 12 month period thereafter), the primary cardholder will also qualify for an Economy companion reward ticket for half the standard miles of a reward economy seat, maximum one reward companion ticket per year.

I missed that part. I heard they have very limited award seats available?

I know. I'm just finishing up $10k spend for 100k American miles (well actually 110k with spend) so 108k for $12k spend is pretty darn close.

Yeah, I just dont even think I would be approved for a good limit, and while combing through the T&Cs it didnt look like they offer a platinum version, so idk if it requires a 5k min limit (similar to the CSP). No one seems to want to give me 5k. lol

I will throw in my two cents about this card. I don't think i would do it. For that extra spend for just 50k points isn't worth it for me. For 12k spend you can do citi aa , amex delta, and chase UAL , i know they are extra pulls but they would net you 150k points on ff programs that are just as vaulable or more valuable imo.I will take 150k worth of points instead of 90000 virgin atlantic.

Well I just got the Delta, I'm at my limit with Citi apps at the moment (I will be past the 2 cards every 60 days limit on September 11) and I have a good 3 months to wait to apply for United again. So this deal would be on top of the others I already got.

Well i guess for your particular position i could see potential value, but for me personally . I would rather do UA+AA , much better value for me. I am not even sure how i would use virgin atlantic points maybe transfer to sq for trip to maui i think its 35 k RT from JFK, or maybe an business class trip to West coast on virgin america.

Nope! Sometimes CLI takes a few days. I requested increase from $10k to $30k.

Good luck on your recon, i still think the spending is too high for that card to be worth it for me, especially since Virgin atlantic points don't have the greatest value.
