Overstock.com Secured Mastercard through First Omaha Bank

Got an e-mail today asking me to apply for this card. I don't really need it now but here's the link they provided in the e-mail for anyone who may be interested. Seems like a great option for secured cards, as it goes unsecured in 11 months. I'm guessing they sent it to me because I applied awhile back for one of their Visa Cards (unsecured) and got denied.

Same here. I app'd the Overstock and was flat out denied and even on Recon. It is an online store card no less for pity's sake but they cited the fact that after 4 INQ they had to deny. Bahh! I will not be apping a FNBO CC again unless it's a bonified preapproval period.

You sure INQ is the only reason for denial?

When I apped my Overstock MC I had like 10 INQs on my EQ and was instantly approved for $5,100.

That was the exact excuse they gave me but just like you i've read approvals with far more then that quoted number.

OMG thank you for posting this, I'm so applying... Im so mad at myself for closing my secured card I had with FNBO because I want the free EX Fico and once unsecured I want the SP CLI!!! but i always have way to many INQ to get an unsecured card with them so I should have just waited out my secured but it wasn't going to possibly unsecure until 18 months.... this 11 months sounds great!!

I've read that they are pretty strict, the one I applied for was the Platinum Edition Visa, they gave a list of reasons for the denial

You are welcome! Yes the 11 months is the shortest timeframe I've seen for any secured card. Hope it works out!

I clicked the link to apply and it asks you to login or create account so it looks like you need to do that first.

I logged in and then was able to apply and did... said i would hear in 2-4 weeks by mail!

FNBO actually bump the reward on this card recently. You now also earn 2% back on gas and grocery with this card.

So it is,

* Free Club O membership --> 5% back on Overstock purchase + free shipping

* Additional 3% back on Overstock purchase

* 2% back on gas and grocery

* 1% back for everything else

I'm done with them for the forseeable future. Like i said, only unless a bonified preapproval and nothing short of that. I have valuable HP's in reserve and don't intend to waste anymore if that can be helped.

Booboo lol what are you talking about? Either sign-in to your existing Overstock.com profile or create a new one and it takes you straight to the application. There's no $4.95 fee. Are you trolling my post?!

No. I keep hitting the apply and the page does nothing. I even accept the terms. Even when I hit the regular mastercard it says sorry the page cannot be found.
