For me, Discover is the clear winner. Not just because of their categories, but because of the rather impressive selection of retailers offering 5-25% cashback on ShopDiscover. Discover also has a bonus on their cashback, if you use their partner gift cards, and there are some pretty good ones, which can give you between 10 and 50 percent off the face value. Pretty nice perk. And I love their Price Protection feature.

The other favorite cashback card of mine that didn't make it to your list is the Costco Amex True Earnings card. 3% back on gas INCLUDING Costco gas (killer feature right there if you drive), 2% on restaurants and travel, and 1% on everything else. No annual fee with a Costco membership.

And technically, the Orbitz Rewards VISA has 2% back on everything outside of Orbitz - though it can only be redeemed as Orbucks.

Winners etc really depend on what you do. None of the other cards (with the exception of TD Rewards for 6 months and the similar WF card) can approach the total cash back available with the Blue Cash. You can use it to generate 4%+ on everything.

But even in the other cards: if the Cash Plus 5% categories don't match your spending, not so good! And similar with anything that isn't flat rate.

Really Depends .....

You Burned or hate Discover then Chase Freedom is a decent choice

BCP is good if you put a lot of money in Gas and Groceries and gas doesn't have a limit

Cap 1 has no FTF and losing 0.5% trumps the 2% cards if you travel

yeah i have to say even with American Express Blue Cash ''spend $1,000 in 90 days get $100 cash back''... i've made more cash back on my Bank America because i've spent less with their $100 when you spend $500 in 90 days equivalent to what i've earned so far on my Discover IT (i didn't get any ''spend this much in 90 days get this much $$$$ from discover, they only had 14 months 0% APR) (i should exclude sign up bonuses)

I received an offer to increase my Sallie Mae rewards on gas by 2% via email earlier in the year. It only lasted for a few months but it was pretty awesome!

Use the card for supermarkets, drug stores and gas purchases, to get 5%. Buy Visa/MC cards at supermarkets and/or drug stores with the card and use them for all other purchases.
