Credit One sounds like a waste of time to me unless you're still rebuilding. I wouldn't bother even if they gave me a 10k limit cause there's no way I'd put up with their fees. Get something way better instead like a prime card and dump the Credit One card you already have ASAP.

Dont do it. I got this same letter in the mail. It immediately found it's way in to my garbage. Correct me if I'm wrong but iirc, they charge a one time activation fee on top of the first years annual fee right up front. After the first year they break up you annual fee in to monthly charges of up to $8 depending on the card. Which could come out to an extra $96 dollars a year. If the card you're still holding on to is active, you may want to check the balance if you haven't in a while.

I wouldn't even rebuild with this card. They're right up there with first premier.

Starting it all depends on your credit report. I got this card for 500 CL and 17.90% with a 35 annual fee. The annual fee is not splitted monthly like the other because the annual fee is low. Go to the pre-qualify and check which one you qualify for. If you get one with a higher annual fee. Do not apply because you will pay the annual fee monthly after the first year. I had one that had 99 annualy fee. I canceled after a year and then got approved for the one with lower annual fee. 35 dollars I don't mind it. They were the first one to give me an unsecured credit card so I apprecciate it from them. So that is why I don't mind having it on my credit. I have never had any issues with their fees. I always have it with 0 balance at the end of the billing statement and I pay no fees. Just the annual fee. That's my opinion.

I agree with this, i think its sent out to people like me who are rebuilding and well desperate, i got c1 about 18months ago when my fico was 554 for a 300 limit its up to 750 now and fico is around 600ish i just got a premier in the mail yesterday pre app for 500, 36% which is nuts and threw it away. I got a Cap 1 quicksilver last month for 300 so im not my way to decent cards just gotta be patient for 6more months and get that score up and Utl down.

I've been receiving these offers from Credit One for over 4 years now. They have always been the same.....ridiciously high apr along with a low CL, with set up fees and a $79-$99 AF billed monthly. Yesterday I received an offer and actually opened it for laughs. This offer was for a 0% interest promotional period then 19.99% after. AF is $19 with a $1500 credit line and 1% back on purchases. This beats a C1 card I have but the kicker is there is no grace period. So what is point of earning 1% even if you PIF each month?

I wouldn't bother even if they gave me a 10k limit cause there's no way I'd put up with their fees. Get something way better instead like a prime card and dump the Credit One card you already have ASAP.

just ripped up the offer. Some improvement though when compared to my old card which evidently has a $96 AF as I get billed 8.00 a month, and I do plan to cancel it; I have been paying a couple small items with the card just need to get them changed to a different card. The new card had a $45 AF and no other fees which I think would be a good rebuilder card, APR 19.90. I don't think they are much worse than a Cap 1 QS One.

I do have numberous prime cards including Chase, Discover, USAA, Barclays, Wells Fargo, an array of Synchrony cards including Walmart and Sams Club store cards, just got the new Sams Club MC yesterday, waiting on the Walmart MC, (still have the old Discover), have Ebay and Ebates siggy. Don't really need any more credit. I'm well over 100K in credit lines with 7% utilization

if you want more credit, call up credit solution, ask them to double your CL on your Walmart card or Sam's club card or ebay.... don't saddle your self with a credit one card, you made it to primeville, this is where the good boys and girls live, who only apply for credit 1-2 cards per year with 6 months in-between. For your part you will be rewarded with starting limits that exceed your monthly gross, perhaps 2-3x monthly gross. Signing bonuses to carrying a card for a year and using it, perhaps enough to have a weekend getaway with a spouse. When you do pay a AF, it gets you something valuable in return, its not just because they gave you credit and you get to pay back 1/2 of your CL in fee's each year.

You have a nice line up of cards, grow those relationships and they will grow your CL's. Soon you will see a card will only start you with a 1.5k limit and scoff, what good is that, using 10% of my CL because I went to a nice dinner is no fun those days are gone.

Run far away from Credit One!!!!!!!

Pay off balances and keep one with under 9% utilization.

Keep GWing the baddies, you might get some success still.
