Cap1 Credit Steps CLI Question.

I was just wondering when exactly you guys got your increase? My 6th statement period ends today and I've been anxiously checking my account every few hours hoping to see a bump in my credit line :-P I currently have a $300 CL on my QSO and would like to see it get to AT LEAST $1K. I ran an average of $600/month through this card in hopes of getting a larger increase than the measly $500 CL promised with the Credit Steps program. Was just wondering in your guys' experience, did you get the CLI the day your 6th statement period ended? The day the statement was generated? A week after? Was just promised before the 7th statement and I hope I don't have to wait a couple days up until that point.

I just looked online and my new CL appeared on my 6th statement.

Can I ask for a CLI via the LUV button after an AUTO CLI? Or will I have to wait another 6 months to request one?

You can certainly try, it's a SP, but i'm sure you'll get a denial kickback instantly.

My 6th statement close on the 10th. I also have a $300 CL and I hope it gets increase ore than $500. I put at least $900 through my cc every month except for one. I also carried a balance and PIF. I am keeping my fingers crossed. If I don't get the CLI I want I will wait a month before asking for a CLI.

Well right now cap 1 is very generous. They told me i would get a 250 dollar increase after 5 statements. I started at a 500 cl.

But to my surprise. i want to say. about 2 or 3 days after. i got email. not a surprise. said important message from capital one. log in to read your message.

I went from 500 to 3k. over night. even though they said in credit steps i would get 250 buck increase.

they said. if i did not want that much to let them know. i said what. why would i not want it.

so look for email. don't keep checking your balance. you will know when it comes.

How much were you putting through the card each month?

I want to say about 500 to 700 each month. Keep under 20 percent. Never paid in full. Paid about 3-4 times a month.

Great! That's pretty much what I have done as well. Never let anything higher than 19.3% post. I'd be happy with $1,500 CL but would gladly take more!

lol I was worried I would get stuck with the $500! Now I don't have to worry about paying multiple times and watching my available credit every month!

Congrats! Hoping to get the same luck in a couple of months. Currently stuck with a $300 limit but got my scores into the 700s shortly after getting the card. Need an epic CLI to get out of low limit hell and then I'll probably try to beg my way to $5000 the next day
